Access of Geographic Data on Internet 

ABSTRACT. – Access of Geographic Data on Internet. ArcIMS is an Internet-based GIS that allow to centrally build and deliver a wide range of GIS maps, data, and applications to users in an organization as well as on the World Wide Web. ArcIMS includes both client and server technology. It extends a Web site by enabling it to serve GIS data and applications. Free HTML and Java viewers are included with ArcIMS, but ArcIMS can also work with a wide range of clients such as ArcGIS Desktop, ArcPad, wireless devices, and the new MapObjects for Java clients.
