ABSTRACT. – GIS and GPS in Salt Areas Dissolution Management – Case Study: Salt Lakes from Sovata. The zones of dissolution on salt management represent a problem as much as interesting also so delicate, connecting to the amplitude and speed of scrolling process and the specific phenomena. The salt lakes from Sovata, formed almost  exclusively in  salt-dissolution, are framed perfect in this themes, due to their unique temporal and spatial evolution on the Romanian territory. Advanced technics (GPS, GIS) contribute significantly to the monitoring and durable management of the area potential through some very precise informations extremely important in adjutication along  with them different natural potential exploitation. Thus, they were delimitate: the lacustrine minable spaces without different riskiness in maintaing the process and specific phenomena (ex. Helioterm phenomenon), the unstable versants which can influence lacustrine basins, the zones of invasion of the hygrofile vegetation, the lakes of which dissolution processes continue, the affected lakes of the phenomenon of colmatage etc. After the digital information transposal it has proceed to it interpretation and also to the elaboration of some  studies which  redound to a capitalization of this zone for a long period of time.
